The Soave Real Estate Group Competes For Loudoun County, Virginia Government Offices

March 15, 2007, Virginia – Loudoun County, Virginia is seeking a new home for its government offices – and the Soave Real Estate Group believes it has the perfect location.

Currently located in the county seat of Leesburg, government officials are exploring the potential cost savings associated with a centralized facility rather than multiple leased buildings. In addition to a positive financial impact for local taxpayers, the county’s executive council also expressed interest in an easily accessible location.

The county’s formal Request for Proposal (RFP) drew 13 proposals, which were unsealed on February 21. The Soave Real Estate Group has partnered with the Washington D.C.-based management company, Akridge, to suggest two alternatives for the administrative center.

The sites, located both north and south of the Greenway and Loudoun County Parkway intersection, together comprise a 183 acre parcel. The southern portion of land, accounting for 136 acres, would allow the government buildings to be integrated into a larger mixed-use development. The smaller, northern 47 acre site, if selected, would be the sole occupier. Conveniently located near the exit of two major roads, the land proposed by the Soave Real Estate Group enjoys enviable accessibility and high visibility.

The initial review process is expected to take three months for the County Procurement Office to complete. At that time, a short list of developments will be presented to county supervisors which will then undergo further, more detailed assessment. As the Leesburg Today newspaper wrote in early March, “the debate about where the county will move to is just getting started.”
