Ferrous Processing & Trading Innovates And Upgrades To Heighten Productivity

January 30, 2007, Detroit, Michigan – Ferrous Processing & Trading (FPT), an affiliate of Soave Enterprises LLC, continues to invest in its future by improving operations. The Management Information Systems department of Detroit-based Soave, has developed a user-friendly touch screen monitor interface for scaling operations at FPT’s scrap operations facilities in Michigan, Ohio, Florida and Ontario.

The new touch screen interface increases the efficiency for incoming and outgoing scale operators. The operators can now more accurately identify the correct contracts, grading, in-plant handling and destinations for the thousands of individual scrap metal loads handled monthly.

“This innovative technology will improve the work environment by bringing an unprecedented ease of use,” notes Joanie Streicher, FPT’s Corporate Controller. “Soave Enterprises’ MIS team did an outstanding job designing and implementing our new system.”
